The Indian Armed Forces on Wednesday launched 'Operation Sindoor' hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack.
India on Wednesday retaliated against the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 innocent lives two weeks ago. Indian armed forces on early Wednesday carried out 'Operation Sindoor' under which it launched a missile strike on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including in Bahawalpur, a stronghold of the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed. The defence ministry confirmed the strike in a statement at 1:44 AM, saying the actions by the Indian armed forces were focused, measured, and non-escalatory in nature.
Following the attack, the families of the victims who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack have expressed happiness on receiving the due justice for the loved ones they lost. They also thanked the government for delivering justice as promised.
Shubham Dwivedi's wife, who lost her husband in the Pahalgam attack, said: "I want to thank PM Modi and all the armed forces that are standing with us in this operation. I am really thankful. They have taken revenge for the 26 people who lost their lives. I can confidently say India takes revenge."
On the operation being named 'Operation Sindoor,' she said that she was really emotional after hearing the name, since it was what was taken away from her during the terror attack. "I had a belief in the government that it will do something. And they did it."
