The incident has once again drawn attention to a recent tragedy in Janakpuri, where a man named Kamal died on February 6 after falling into an open pit linked to the Delhi Jal Board.
A 27-year-old labourer died after falling into an open drain near Kali Mandir in Rohini Sector-32 on Tuesday. A PCR call was received by Begumpur Police Station at 2.36 pm, reporting that a youth had gone missing after falling into the drain. Fire brigade teams launched a search operation and later recovered the body, which was shifted to Dr B R Ambedkar Hospital mortuary.
The deceased has been identified as Birju, a native of Bihar.
