Sangareddy (Telangana), Jul 3 (PTI) — As many as nine people are still missing following the explosion at Sigachi Industries' pharmaceutical plant in Pashamylaram, which has claimed at least 38 lives and left 35 others injured. Efforts are currently underway to trace the missing individuals, Superintendent of Police (SP) Paritosh Pankaj said on Thursday.
The state government has constituted an expert committee to determine the causes and sequence of events that led to the tragic explosion. The committee is expected to visit the site on Thursday. It has been tasked with submitting a detailed report, including specific suggestions and recommendations, within a month. The panel is being headed by Dr B Venkateswar Rao, Emeritus Scientist at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. As reported by the News Agency, PTI.
