United States President Donald Trump has accused the BRICS alliance — comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa — of attempting to weaken the US dollar’s global dominance. In sharp remarks made during a cabinet meeting in Washington on Tuesday, Trump said, “They (India) have to pay 10 per cent if they’re in BRICS because BRICS was set up to hurt us; BRICS was set up to degenerate our dollar.”
