Cuddalore Train Accident: Here's What Happened
The van, carrying school students, was struck around 7 AM by the Cuddalore–Mayiladuthurai passenger train while attempting to cross Level Crossing Gate No. 170, a non-interlocked railway gate situated between Cuddalore and Alappakkam. According to Railway officials, the gate was left open at the time of the train’s arrival — a direct violation of standard safety protocol.
