Iran denies Trump's ceasefire claim with Israel as false. Khamenei says Iran is not a nation that surrenders, rejecting any suggestion of a truce amid rising regional tensions.
In a sharp rebuttal to former U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of a “total ceasefire” between Iran and Israel, Tehran has firmly denied any such agreement, calling the claim baseless and politically motivated.
Just hours after Trump took to Truth Social declaring that both nations had agreed to halt hostilities within six hours, Iranian state-affiliated news agency Fars released a statement rejecting the report outright. Citing unnamed sources, the agency stated, “The ceasefire plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump is completely false and was put forward to divert attention from America’s recent humiliation following attacks on its regional bases.”
