Donald Trump claimed he averted war between India and Pakistan by using trade negotiations as leverage.
US President Donald Trump claimed again on Wednesday that he prevented war between India and Pakistan, allegedly by leveraging the trade negotiations as a deterrent. Trump, who has openly expressed his desire to win a Nobel Peace Prize, speaking at the NATO summit once again insisted that he had resolved the conflict via a series of phone calls focused on trade.
"In the last few weeks, we took care of India and Pakistan, Kosovo, and Serbia. The Congo is coming in, and Rwanda is coming in; that was a vicious war that went on. We did two others in addition to that. Nobody's ever done anything like this," he said.
